Flashback Feature Friday

Happy Flashback Feature Friday! Today we are taking a “flashback” to a winter wedding we had the honor of lighting back in February 2014 shot by Echard Wheeler Photography. We loved the way this bride incorporated all of the traditional lighting elements: uplighting, pinspots on her floral arrangements, and a dance floor wash, but gave her own personal flare with this gorgeous drape design. This wedding had a truly romantic and elegant feel to it from the lush florals from Palette of Petals to the blush uplighting around the perimeter of the space. We had the privilege of working with some other amazing vendors, scroll down to check for the full list.

The use of the dance floor wash really helps to give that “intimate” moment to the couple as they take the stage for their first dance.wilcox-lesnerinn-echardwheeler3
We loved the use of fresh rose petals, provided by Palette of Petals, and candlelight to really give an extra bit of warmth to the space.wilcox-lesnerinn-echardwheeler4

Trendy Tuesday

Happy Tuesday Ya’ll! Today we are talking about a popular wedding trend that has been hot-hot-hot in 2016: “Woodland Fairytale.” This is such a fun way to incorporate some rustic pieces or anything outdoors with some really fun girly/”princessy”/crystal like accents (chandeliers, beaded curtains, hanging strands of “twinkle lights”, etc.)

Ways to incorporate this trend:

We love the idea of using clear top tents or partial clear top tents in the middle of the woods to really get the feel of being in fairytale land with string bulbs, chandeliers, and landscape lighting.unspecified-4.jpg

Custom Pieces to grace over the center of your dance floor, these grapevine balls lit up at night can give the feeling of being underneath the stars:

We really love this trend because there is really no right or wrong way to do it. It is open for interpretation and the use of your imagination. We love being able to work with brides who have a particular vision or trend they have seen. We can then bring their vision to life and make their wedding day the “fairytale” they dreamed it would be.

Feature Friday

With the crisp, fall weather shortly coming to an end we find ourselves looking forward to the frigid, winter weather. And no, it is not because we love cold weather! But because this season brings forward so so so many ideas of pure winter magic!

So follow along with us today as we are dreaming of those gorgeous winter weddings. You know the ones we are talking about. The breathtaking weddings that have guests feeling as if they just walked into a wonderland of gorgeousness and bring the bride to tears.

Tara and John were married on January 17th, 2015 at The Founders Inn. They had warm amber uplighting complimented by three elegant chandeliers. The draping was amazingly spectacular! And the additional gobo projections on the wall made for a unique and elegant feel in the ballroom.
